I didn’t think much of this to begin with. I’d heard missbudgetbeauty talking about it and saying how it worked similar to her pixi glow tonic chemical exfoliator, so I figured I’d give it a try. Only it didn’t really seem to do anything and I was a bit disappointed to be honest, but I decided to carry on using it just to use it up rather than throw it out.
Well somewhere in the middle of February I got kinda lazy with my skincare. I had a few days off work and started taking my showers in the morning rather than at night. This meant that instead of taking my makeup off then thoroughly washing my face I was just removing my makeup with a wipe and going to bed…. Cue breakout city. I didn’t have all out spots but I had a lot of clogged pores and my skin was really congested and red in certain areas. I had been skipping using my toner but decided to start using it again as it felt soothing on my skin. The very next morning I noticed that my skin was a lot calmer, the redness had died down and a lot of my pimples had disappeared. I continued using it and my skin has really cleared up again. I guess it really was doing something afterall and it took some bad skincare habits for me to realise it. At £3.99 for 250ml it doesn’t exactly break the bank so now I am seriously considering repurchasing this when I run out just in case my skin flares up again.
If anyone has any recommendations for any other toners you think I should try let me know!
