We got the train at stupid-o-clock in the morning and rocked up to the Olympia National Hall around 9am. First stop on our list was Nars. Unfortunately they didn’t really have any of the products I was after so I just got this cute little Andy Warhol set. The eyeshadows are gorgeous and have such a beautiful, glowy sheen, and the lipgloss is seriously amazing too.
I picked up another pink Z Palette because these come in so handy for storing together eyeshadows, blushes and the like. I’ve literally only just finished filling up my first one and I have another which is almost full of my MAC eyeshadows so I wanted to get this as back up for when I need it. I also bought 3 brushes from Crown Brush. I picked some up last year and was really impressed with the quality and price. I think I paid around £3-4 for each of these and they are so soft and work really well.
There wasn’t really anything else that caught my eye at IMATS, so after having a wander around all the stalls we headed over to Oxford Street for a bit more shopping. I spotted Muji so quickly popped in there to pick up a set of acrylic storage drawers as I’ve heard good things about them. With re-doing my girlcave I knew I wanted to have something proper to keep my everyday makeup in and these are perfect. I got the narrower but deeper 2 drawer set and it pretty much holds everything I need it to.
Next was Topshop. I wasn’t too fussed about looking at the clothes as I’m not really a fan, but I wanted to check out the makeup. I ended up buying 2 highlighter products – one gold toned powder highlight in Sunbeam and one silver toned Glow Stick cream highlighter in Party Up. I’ve tried both of these and they look gorgeous on. I’m really into a glowy, highlighted cheek at the moment.
Then we went onto Primark for some bargains. I picked up 3 thin, marl effect t-shirts in grey, lilac and heather – super comfy and soft; this amazing pair of blue mirrored aviator style sunglasses – serious love!; and some fairy lights as I thought they would look really pretty in my room.
After all that shopping we needed to refuel so stopped at Eat for some lunch. We had wanted to go to Forever21 and Victoria’s Secret but the Gay Pride Parade got in our way so that’ll have to be another time. We headed back to the station and whilst waiting for our train I somehow manage to do a little bit more shopping…
It feels like it’s been ages since I bought anything from Lush. I picked up a couple of old favourites as well as something new to try. I decided I wanted to give their Big shampoo a go so I picked that up, then grabbed the American Cream conditioner as well because the scent is amazing and it stays in your hair. I love Dream Cream so got a large tub of that which will last ages as you only need a little bit but it’s the self-preserving formula so I don’t need to worry about it going off. Lastly, I got a couple of bath products – Dream Time bath melt as I haven’t had that in a while, and of course I had to get my all time favourite year-round product, The Comforter. This is the product that started my love affair with Lush so obviously I had to pick up one of these, and the best part is I’ll get at least 3 baths out of this!
So there you have it! If you want to watch a video of me rambling about these products a bit more then you can watch that video below. Did you go to IMATS? If so tell me what you got! Yes I know I’m nosy!!
